Galactic Shark Upgrade Pack - PRE-PAINTED - BATTLE READY TIER STANDARD - VERY LIMITED STOCK
Description
This is the Galactic shark upgrade pack - PRE PAINTED. Fantastic to get a head start on converting your official models into shark boys.
The recipe for how these were painted is as follows (so you can match it to your official models)
Shark Armour Painting Process
- Priming
Models are primed using Green Stuff World Matt Surface Primer – Black to provide a durable and even base coat.
- Zenithal Highlight
A zenithal pre-highlight is applied using white ink, sprayed from above to establish natural light values and guide subsequent layers.
- Armour Basecoat
The armour is airbrushed with Ashen Stone from The Army Painter Speedpaint range, creating the primary shark-grey tone while preserving the zenithal lighting.
- Shoulder Pads
Shoulder pads are basecoated with Coal Black from Pro Acryl to provide a deep contrasting tone.
- Armour Trim
All armour trim is carefully painted using Bronze from Pro Acryl, establishing the metallic framework of the armour.
- Cloth Elements
Cloth areas are basecoated using Burgundy from Pro Acryl for a rich, deep fabric tone.
- Metallic Components
Weapons and mechanical elements are painted with Plate Mail Metal from The Army Painter to create a clean steel finish.
- Oil Wash Shading
The entire miniature is treated with a black oil wash, enhancing recess shading and unifying the overall tone of the model.
- Armour Highlights
Armour plates and the interior of shoulder pads are re-highlighted using a 75/25 mix of Fanatic Deep Grey and Ice Yellow from The Army Painter Fanatic range, restoring definition and edge contrast.
- Trim Highlights
Bronze trim is refined with Light Bronze from Pro Acryl to create a bright metallic edge highlight.
- Metallic Highlights
Metallic components are highlighted with Shining Silver from The Army Painter to enhance contrast and reflectivity.
- Energy Vent Effects
Backpack and Terminator vents are treated with AK Liquid Enamel Orange Fluor from AK Interactive, producing a vibrant heat-glow effect.
- Lens Detailing
Lenses are painted using the following process: Basecoat with Bold Titanium White from Pro Acryl Glaze with Citadel Magmadroth Flame Finish with a fine inner highlight using a selected yellow tone.
- Basing
Bases are textured with earth texture paint, followed by an application of Dark Mud Soilworks pigment mixed with water to create a natural ground effect.
- Final Varnish
Once fully cured, the miniature is sealed with AK Ultra Matte Varnish, ensuring durability and a consistent, non-reflective finish.

LEARN MOREThe models are 3D printed using a high-quality proprietary resin blend. We've chosen this resin based on months of research and development to provide the highest quality model.
When a model is 3D printed, it needs to be supported with thin light "sticks" called supports. We leave these on the model as we send them over to you. Firstly because they help protect the model during transit and secondly, it saves us a lot of time and energy removing themselves - not to mention ensures the models aren't damaged by us removing the supports in an efficient and less careful manner.
Think of them like the sprues for GW models - simply remove the model from them carefully and sand any areas that have been affected by the supports.
Depends where you are, orders within Australia are a couple days, order to the US and UK are 1-2 weeks and orders to random obscure countries are 2+ weeks. Due to the current Pandemic situation this can vary but those are the times that I've been seeing.
If your order arrives damaged, misprinted or missing items, email us at support@majorminis.com.au and we will send another one free of charge.
If you receive your order in standard condition but decide you don't want it/want to swap it, it'll be a bit of a headache for everyone but we can make it work. You would be responsible for paying for the return shipping and upon me physically receiving the model, I will issue a refund for the cost of the model but not shipping. If you wish to swap it for a different model then you will need to pay for shipping of the new model. You will be refunded/charged the difference between the old model and the new. I would just avoid this process if I was you though, it'll end up costing more than the model
